Scholarships


The Gregg County Youth Expo provides scholarships to outstanding FFA, 4-H, and FCCLA members. Each year, applicants go through an application and interview process and are awarded at the Sale of Champions.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must have participated as an exhibitor at the Gregg County Youth Expo for a minimum of two years, including their senior year
  • Only graduating seniors are eligible to apply
  • Applicants must be an active member of an FFA chapter of 4-H club associated with the Gregg County Youth Expo
  • Official high school transcript must be attached
  • A photograph of the applicant must accompany the application

Required Materials

  • Completed application
  • Statement of acknowledgement (found on the entry website)
  • 2x3 size photograph (photographs may be used for media announcements and promotional materials)
  • Signed official high school transcript
  • Copy of ACT or SAT results
  • One to three reference letters from a non-relative employer, teacher, county extension agent, principal, administrator, pastor, or other upstanding member of the community

Method of Selection

  • Applicants will be randomly assigned an interview time
  • Interview times will be posted on this web page by December 30
  • Students will forfeit their scholarship opportunity if they are not present for their interview, unless an emergency situation arises
  • The panel of judges will be made up of four to eight members from surrounding school districts
